Walk The High School

Upcoming Tour Dates: Tuesdays; Parent Tour 8-9:30am/ Student Shadow Visit 8am-3pm â€‹â€‹â€‹

Parents and their prospective students are invited to experience a window into Waldorf at the High School level! This tour offers students the chance to shadow for a day in the High School (8am-3pm), while parents explore the campus on a guided tour (8-9:30am). Parents will have the opportunity to observe classes, learn more about the depth of our experiential, college-prep curriculum, explore the beauty of our campus and programs, meet faculty, school leaders and current parents, and have a Q&A with our HS Counselor, current students, and Admissions Director.

*Lunch* Your shadowing student is invited to enjoy a delicious, complimentary lunch as part of our Shadow Day! Our farm-to-table lunch program features fresh ingredients from our farm and includes gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. If you prefer, you’re welcome to bring your own lunch.

Arts Immersion Weekend Workshops for Middle & High School Students - Open to the Public

Come experience the practical arts at Summerfield Waldorf High School! Space is limited for our weekend workshops for Middle School and High School students (ages 13-15). Try your hand at blacksmithing, throwing a pot, compass artwork, or circus arts!

Blacksmithing Workshop

Sunday May 3, 10am–1pm

Come experience heating, hammering, and shaping metal on a coal fired forge anvil!

 

Circus Arts Workshop

Sunday May 3, 10am–1 pm

Join us for a joyful introduction to circus arts! We will tumble, tightwire, experience aerial arts (silks and trapeze) as well as juggle and clown! No experience needed.

 

Compass Art Workshop 

Saturday May 9, 10am–1pm

Get a taste of the beauty and satisfaction of geometrical compass drawing. Working with pencil, ink, and watercolor we will explore designs found throughout nature. Students walk away with several of their own creations.

 

Pottery on the Wheel Workshop

Saturday May 23, 10am–1pm

Come get creative and learn how to throw pottery on the wheel. Have fun getting your hands dirty and learning all the tips to create a centered and balanced piece.
